PO-SHYAN WU

Thank you for visiting this page!

I am a 6th-year PhD student in Economics at Indiana University, Bloomington, and I will be on the 2025-2026 academic job market.

My research focuses on the spatial aspects of economic development. I study the implications of federal wage policies (1930s) on Southern industrial development, the design of industrial policies in open economies, and how environmental considerations affect firms’ technology choices.

I use a mix of quantitative and qualitative approaches, including general equilibrium modeling, applied econometric methods for program evaluation, and data extraction from primary historical records.
